Tour Itinerary & Highlights:

  • Day 1: From Cairo to Fayoum – Desert Discovery Begins

    • Departure & Lake Qarun: Depart Cairo in a 4x4 vehicle heading southwest to Fayoum, making our first stop at Lake Qarun (historic Lake Moeris) to enjoy views and photos.

    • Tunis Village: Walk through peaceful streets of the charming village famous for its handcrafted pottery and Bedouin arts while meeting local artisans.

    • Wadi El Rayan Nature Reserve: Explore the upper and lower lakes, Egypt’s only desert waterfalls, and take a short hike to Mount Medawara for breathtaking panoramic views.

    • Wadi El Hitan (Valley of the Whales): Journey to the UNESCO World Heritage Site to walk among real prehistoric whale skeletons and marine fossils from Egypt’s ancient oceans.

    • Magic Lake & Desert Camp Setup: Head to the desert camping spot near Magic Lake as the sun sets. Enjoy sandboarding on golden dunes, a sunset view over the lake, a relaxing traditional Bedouin tea session, and a Bedouin-style dinner by the campfire before an overnight stay in tents under a star-filled sky.

  • Day 2: Morning Serenity & Return to Cairo

    • Morning Desert Experience: Wake up to the peaceful sounds of the desert, enjoy breakfast with a view, and take final photos by the color-changing Magic Lake.

    • Optional Activities: Opportunity for optional horse or camel rides.
