Jabal al-Qatrani Protected Area:
Welcome & Orientation: Arrival from Cairo, reception by reserve officials, and an introductory briefing on the site's immense geological significance.
Open-Air Fossil Museum: Explore the 28-kilometer trail showcasing ancient environments and over 10 extinct animal species from 40 million years ago, including the 1.2-kilometer trail featuring 292 fossils illustrating evolutionary history.
Petrified Forest: Discover fossilized tree remains dating back 34 million years across a massive 30 square kilometer area.
"Waddan El Faras" Peaks: View the famous horse-ear-like peaks rising 300 to 400 meters, offering stunning panoramic vistas.
Pharaonic Basalt Road: Walk along the world's oldest paved road used by the Pharaohs to transport basalt quarries toward Giza.
Lake Qarun:
Take a 4x4 safari tour of the surrounding areas and enjoy stunning views of the nearby lake.
